I’ve Seen the Gilmore Girls Finale!
When the screener DVD arrived Friday morning from Warner Bros. I was both excited and terrified. I was excited that I wouldn’t have to wait until May 9 to watch the Gilmore Girls season finale. But I was terrified because this in many ways could end up being the show’s series finale. Sure, Gilmore Girls will be back next season, but without Team Palladino at the helm, who really knows what version of Gilmore Girls we’ll be getting?So after staring at the DVD all weekend, I finally popped it in two hours ago, and now I’m here to tell the tale: Overall, it was a good Gilmore Girls episode. Had AS-P gone a little lighter on Taylor and the troubadours — and excised that unfortunate final scene you may have heard something about — it probably would have been a great episode.
Still, there was much to love. Here are some highlights (spoilerphobes, read at your own risk):
- Lorelai does something she’s never done before — and in the front seat of a car. And when it was over, I saw her in a whole new light. (probabil il confrunta pe Luke)
- Lorelai finally utters the L word to Luke. And not just once, but twice.
- As anticipated, Lorelai’s backbone grew back just in time for her to confront Luke about April, Anna and the wedding. It was as if she logged onto TVGuide.com, studied all of your angry comments over the past six months and condensed them into one three-minute monologue. (moment to lol )
- Kelly Bishop has at least five classic lines, two of which are directed at her maid. (not the ugly romanian one we saw in a episode in the first half of the 6th season)
- As I hinted in last week’s AA, Logan and Rory’s final scene is a tearjerker. (cry me a river.. )
- Mary Lynn Rajskub can’t carry a tune to save her life, and trust me when I tell you that’s a good thing.

)Ok, this sucks! Abia asteptam episodul din seara asta, si acum aflu ca a ramas acel final cretin despre care auzeam zvonuri. Frumos, frumos… Lorelai se desparte de Luke si ajunge in pat cu Christopher.
In other news, 1 mai a fost, ca de obicei, un succes. Chiar daca frate-miu m-a trezit la 06.00 sa imping la masina, ca nu pornea, dupa 12min, timp in care plamanii mi-au luat foc (nu am mentionat ca am coborat cat de repede am putut din pat (m-a sunat si mi-a zis sa cobor urgent jos, eu eram mort de somn), imbracat in pijamale, cu bluza inchisa la doi nasturi, si in adidasi, nu? oh well, zic acum), a pornit. 4 masini cu 5-6 sandilai in fiecare, care faceau un vacarm infernal si se distrau de minune. Fotbal, gratar, mic dejun-pranz-cina, fotbal, si alte distractii intre. Fun. Era muulta lume la Chei, abia aveai loc sa joci o miuta… de ce nu stiu, dar erau si Cassa Loco pe acolo, cantau niste melodii(?).
Azi la scoala eram mai toti morti de oboseala, abia puteam sa ne ridicam din banci cand comenta ala de mate ceva. Si, nu stiu de ce, dar a devenit o traditie in ultimul timp – am chiulit cu totii de la ultima ora, astazi prof castigatoare fiind cea de economie. ps : pentru prima oara semestrul asta, am fost la ora de sport! si nu doar atat, am fost si in echipament
Inca ceva… stiam eu ca nimic nu poate fi bun daca te suna cineva si te intreaba daca atunci cand ai fost muscat de cainele ala ai platit pentru antitetanos.
